Our League PDF Print E-mail

Your Southwest Baseball League is organized as a non-profit organization with 100% of all funds generated being put back into the program to benefit all participants.  The league is governed by an elected Board of Directors to facilitate business on behalf of the league.  Currently, several large projects are under consideration, which include an instructional batting cage complex, pitching tunnels for pitching development and an additional T-ball field.  Currently, we are playing games on nine fields at High Ridge Park, Marwood Park, Cloudview Park and the Coronado baseball/softball complex.  If you are interested in participating on a project or serving on the board, please contact a Southwest Baseball board member for more information.  You may contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or leave a message at 915-845-3223.  A league official is present at the ballparks on all game days.

All recreational team equipment is provided to each of the team coaches – catcher’s equipment, catcher’s glove, batting helmets, practice balls, etc. by the league.  Paid umpires are provided by the league to insure fairness to all and to allow parents the opportunity to enjoy the game and be supportive towards all participants.  The league pays for all field improvements and maintenance with volunteer labor.  The league pays for all appropriate enrollment fees to USTSA and provides its participants with an MLB licensed jersey and cap.  The league maintains insurance for all participants and provides a snack shack for concession convenience during game days.  Coach’s clinics are provided by the league throughout the season to upgrade our skills knowledge and insure your kids the best possible instruction.  This year, we have also started partnering with the USTSA Baseball program.  For travel teams playing in our league, the league pays entry into the USTSA World Series for the winners in seven age groups.

Southwest Baseball is dedicated to providing children of all abilities an opportunity to grow and enjoy the game of baseball through our facilities and leagues.  Our volunteers are all FBI screened and each volunteer is heartfelt about their desire to help your child.  The help we provide is not only to become better ballplayers but to be exposed to the league ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, teamwork and respect for others, whether they be other teammates, opposing players, umpires, league officials or parents.  Let’s play ball!

Southwest Baseball League is located in El Paso, Texas. El Paso, the “Sun City” boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year. Our fields are located at Irwin J. Lambka Park, 6600 Cloudview Drive on the west side of El Paso at the base of the Franklin Mountains. SWBB has been a chartered and supportive member of youth baseball for over 20 years.  The league is operated by local citizens and the family members of players in the league who volunteer their time. SWBB could not exist without these volunteers to organize and coach our young players, maintain the fields and manage the concessions.
